Tennis Ladder
Our first tennis ladder has recently started. Rules are simple. Challenge either the person one or two above you and if you win, you swap places. Here's the current ladders. Please contact Pete with results and alter the ladder kept behind the bar in the George.
Rules
1. Matches to be played as best of 3 sets. If the set goes to 6-6, play a tie-breaker (first to win more than 6 points and lead by at least 2 points).2. You may challenge anyone within 3 places of yourself.
3. Positions on the ladder following completion of a match change as follows: If the winner has the higher position, there is no change. If the winner has the lower position, he or she swaps places with the loser.
4. A player who is challenged must agree to a match with the challenger to be played no later than two weeks after the challenge is made unless:
a. The challenged player already has at least two other matches to play.
b. The challenged player is unable to play due to injury, holidays, etc.
c. The two parties cannot mutually agree on a date and time of a match.
5. It is the responsibility of the winner of the match to report the score result to Pete Hawkins (so that the web site can be updated) and to adjust the ladder which is kept behind the bar in The George.
